Credit Cards for People with Bad Credit
Having bad credit doesn't mean you can't qualify for a credit card, although you will be hard-pressed to find one with a low interest rate. Ironically, the best way to build good credit is to incur some debt and pay it off within a reasonable amount of time. So, if you currently have poor credit, try to think of your credit card as a means to prove yourself to the system that has branded you a high risk. You will probably have to start with a secured credit card, which means you provide cash up front and are then extended a credit line. This is the only way the credit card company will trust you in paying off your purchases. However, by using a secured credit card in a responsible manner, you will soon qualify for a regular credit card and begin rebuilding your credit score.
